After creating a Reduction Plan, you might need to update your plan information, or add and remove Reduction Strategies. Here’s how to edit a Reduction Plan in Climate Smart.

Update Reduction Plan
After creating a Reduction Plan, you can update:
- Reduction Plan name
- Start and end date
To update a Reduction Plan:
- Navigate to your Reductions Manager. You can scroll to this section on your dashboard, or in your top navigation, click Track & Reduce and select Reductions Manager to jump there.
- Click a Reduction Plan's name to open it.
- Under Plan Overview, click EDIT.
- Update the information you want to change.
- When you’re done, click UPDATE REDUCTION PLAN.
Note: You can’t update a finalized Reduction Plan.
Add/remove Reduction Strategies
You can add more Reduction Strategies to an existing Reduction Plan. You might want to add or remove strategies as your team determines which sustainability goals you can achieve.
Add Reduction Strategies
To add Reduction Strategies to a Reduction Plan:
- Navigate to your Reductions Manager. You can scroll to this section on your dashboard, or in your top navigation, click Track & Reduce and select Reductions Manager to jump there.
- Click a Reduction Plan's name to open it.
- Next to Reduction Strategies, click +ADD REDUCTION STRATEGIES.
- Search for the strategies you want to add to your plan or create a new one.
- Under Selected Strategies, review the strategies you chose. When you’re done, click ADD STRATEGIES.
Remove Reduction Strategies
To remove Reduction Strategies from a Reduction Plan:
- Navigate to your Reductions Manager. You can scroll to this section on your dashboard, or in your top navigation, click Track & Reduce and select Reductions Manager to jump there.
- Click a Reduction Plan's name to open it.
- Under Reduction Strategies, find the strategy you want to remove.
- In this line, click DELETE.
Note: Removing a Reduction Strategy also permanently deletes its description, notes, and other information you entered into Climate Smart. If you no longer want to pursue a Reduction Strategy but don’t want to delete it, consider updating its status to Abandoned instead.
