What is custom consulting?

Custom consulting is an add-on for your Climate Smart subscription that unlocks additional service support tailored to your team’s sustainability objectives. For example, you might add this service if you want a Climate Smart Advisor to create custom graphs or reports to illustrate your emission sources for stakeholders. 

What’s included?

This service package is based on your business needs. For example, your organization can choose one or more of the following options:

1. Custom Impact Reporting and Visualization

This option offers tailored emissions reporting to share with stakeholders, such as investors, customers, or employees. For example, a Climate Smart Advisor can:

• Track progress against your organization’s targets or emissions per GHG type
• Determine the energy efficiency of buildings your organization owns or operates in
• Assess and optimize fuel consumption for vehicles your organization owns or rents
• Create other reports in a specific and relevant format for your business

2. Data Collection Optimization

A Climate Smart Advisor will help your organization develop tailored standard operating procedures to better organize and execute your GHG data collection process.

3. ESG Reporting Alignment 

A Climate Smart Advisor can provide specific data formatted for applications such as B Corp, Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP), Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD), or Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi). Speak to our Customer Success team about the type of certification or framework your organization wants to achieve to find out if this option is right for you.

4. Development of Custom Metrics

A Climate Smart Advisor can provide custom intensity or sustainability performance metrics. This way, your organization can assess the impact of your efforts based on relevance to your industry, or motivate your organization to improve efficiency.

How does custom consulting work?

You can add-on custom consulting at any point in your Climate Smart journey, but we recommend completing at least one inventory in the software first. Connect with our Customer Success team to discuss your organization’s questions and goals – we'll adapt to your needs. Then, a dedicated Climate Smart Advisor works with your team to set a timeline for implementation and deliver the relevant materials.
